Student Reading & Math Results Print E-mail

This graph indicates the progress from the past 8 years when it comes to the percentage of students achieving proficient or advanced scores on the WKCE reading tests.  Every year since 2003, the Stanley-Boyd Area School District has increased the percentage of students achieving a proficient or advanced score.  In 2003, just over 70 percent of the students were passing the reading tests.  Just 8 years later, nearly 90% of the students were passing the reading tests.  While the state average has increased only 5 percentage points, the Stanley-Boyd Area School District has increased by 17 percentage points.  This graph truly indicates the rapid growth of reading skills from all of its students.

This graph measures the progress of students in the area of math. Over the past 8 years, the Stanley-Boyd Area School District has increased the percentage of students achieving a proficient or advanced score from only 67% in 2003, to over 83% in 2009. That is an increase of 16 percentage points, while the state has had an increase of just 7 percentage points. This graph is similar to the reading graph in that they both demonstrate the rapid growth of skills from all of its students.
